Transport security of the Russian Federation: the role of the military-industrial complex

The article presents an original interpretation of the essence of transport, the transport security of the TBC country, as a component of national security. The difference between TBS and the traditional understanding of transport safety is shown. The factors influencing the TBS are divided into four groups: economic, political and diplomatic, military and hybrid, natural and climatic. The state of the Air Defense System of the Russian Federation is assessed and its impact on the most important areas of the country's economy and defense is shown. The research revealed that the current level of TBS is sufficient, but not enough to help the country recover from the stagnation caused by sanctions and the special military operation. It was shown that a faster growth of national transport compared to the development of the national economy is necessary to solve this problem.
In general, at present, TBS does not cause concern, however, the development of the national railway constantly reducing the volume of traffic, cargo turnover cannot be considered satisfactory. The article indicates the reasons that caused the problems of the railway. Also, the decree that the BBT has large reserves of the throughput capacity of the inland waterways of GDP, to which it would be possible to switch part of the cargo flows from the congested railway lines and thereby increase the TBS. The main reasons for the underutilization of the advantages of IWT and ways to overcome them have been identified. A general assessment of the RF TBS was carried out and the main directions of its development were determined.
